About this project
I was tasked with choosing an artist I admire and creating an advertising campaign that conjoined type and image. Adhering to the artist's personal style as well as creating eye-catching promotional material was the major task at hand. I chose to repurpose photos of the artist in tandem with various illustrative elements and stock photography to create a unique voice that embodies Nao's musical choices and creative expression.
Nao is an r&b artist from London that inspires others with her expressive lyrics and ambient music choices. Some keywords I was majorly inspired by from my research and ideation phase were freedom, idenitity, and nature.
It was a really fun challenge to take my poster design and repurpose it for the ticket design. Experimentation and iteration with different layouts and design choices really helped me settle on the final design below. Overall, I chose to keep the colors very vibrant and bright to bring a summer feel to the designs, as well as playing with text that became a prominent figure within the posters and ticket.
