About this project
This project serves as both a self-reflection as well as a public response to the bigotry and racism experienced by the Asian American community in the last few years. I wanted to create a series of visuals that is succinct, legible, and has the ability to be mass produced for community service. The inspiration for these illustrations ranges from spiritual ideals (yin & yang) to historical events (the Delano Grape Strike of 1965) with some purely typographic iterations as well. Whether it be in the form of stickers, illustrations for social media posts, or posters, I wanted to provide a digital repository of images that took a clear stand against the racial injustices in our world today and remind everyone to take pride in where they come from.
